There is something incredibly precious about holding my sleeping five year old. To have missed all those sweet baby snuggles. To have watched her grow from being terrified of touch, afraid to be held, to falling asleep in my arms. I get to be her mama and rock her to sleep and know that she feels safe and secure. I get to be a part of her healing and safety. How much more precious are these moments which were once stolen from her, but now restored. I may not have been able to rock her to sleep as a baby, but what a gift to be able to rock her to sleep now. #adoption

So thankful for this precious crew of mine.
